 • Created to measure flood severity at the district level.
 • The Composite DFSI includes six factors divided into two categories:
    o Variables indicating the occurrence of floods: Number of flood events, average flood duration, flooded area, and population.
    o Variables indicating damage due to floods: Human fatalities and injuries in a district.
