Research has revealed that vocal communication among Bonobos exhibits compositionality, similar to human language.
Habitat: They are found exclusively in the forests of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Characteristics: Bonobos, akin to Chimpanzees, share 98.7% of their DNA with humans, making them our closest living relatives. They are slightly smaller, leaner, and darker in appearance. Known for their peaceful nature, Bonobo groups are led by females.
